A Pinprick on the Finger to Draw Blood

There is music
routinely uncovered
from within the body

In a field full of cattle,
the ground becomes
packed tight
from the pressure of the hooves

You can only stare at an airplane
if it isn’t right near the sun

Sometimes you have to stop
and ask yourself
how many centuries
is this really worth
