Fields of the Soul

We cannot shape the world
out of nothing. It must first
be brought forth
in whatever raw form presented

The laws can then be constructed
the fruit can then be peeled,
the hard outer rind removed
leaving only what’s delicious

In this profane world,
it is not presumptuous
to assume there are boxes of lies
that can be burned

And when sitting alone
upon a crafted vantage point
one cannot be timid
about weaving a banner,
as its purpose is
to be seen from afar
